Igreja Peniel In Guaruja

Last night I had the privilege of preaching at Igreja Peniel in the city of Guaruja. The church is led by Pastor Nzuzi, who is an African pastor ministering in Brazil. The church is very enthusiastic about sharing the Good News of Jesus with others in their community, and also about continuing to do the important discipleship work after people accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. We are excited to begin a new relationship with the church, and we will be working to help them to share Christ in their community. We have scheduled our Quality Of Life project in a large school near the church, and we will be working with them in this and other schools in the future.

Yesterday it was very hot (36°C / 97°F), and the church's air conditioning was not working, so needless to say it was very hot inside the church. Nonetheless, it was a great privilege and a joy to preach God's word. The church received the message very enthusiastically, and in the end I shared the Gospel and 5 people accepted Christ as their Lord & Savior and committed their lives to Him.
