Serra Negra Brazil

The other city we visited on our trip in July was Serra Negra, located in the mountains near the border between the states of Sao Paulo and Minas Gerais. Serra Negra is a beautiful tourist city with many hotels, restaurants, parks, and shopping, and is known as the "City of Health" because of it's natural mineral water springs. Here are some photos of Serra Negra.

I love Serra Negra. The parents of a dear friend of mine from São Paulo bought land decades ago on the hills outside the city and have built, brick by brick over many years, their retirement home there, with a breath-taking view of the valley. They kindly invited me to spend the weekend with them there twice, and I fell in loved with Serra Negra (I have a particular soft spot for mountains, since I am originally from a mountainous state in the US). Simple, peaceful, lots of God's beautiful handiwork to admire. But then, Brazil has been blessed with so much of that...

Outra vez, obrigado pelas fotos e lembranças de meu querido Brasil.

Keith, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I am glad that you enjoyed the pics of Serra Negra. I agree, it is a very nice place and we enjoyed it very much. I'm sure we will go back again. Brazil is very blessed to have many beautiful places, and many wonderful people too.
